This book is about a girl called Nikki that goes through life having to suffer against the popularity and beauty of Makenzie, she calls her mean and showoff however you know inside she is jealous. This year Makenzie and her group are going to do a dance, and Nikki was asked is she wanted to be in it too. Nikki however was doing a show with her two best friends, Chloe and Zoe. Chloe and Zoe had fallen in love with some boys that had joined Makenzies' band, should they join? Nikki has a good secret reason to be in the school and nobody must know, however if her friends find out it would be too embarrassing. Nikki then reads the poster that explains how to join she sees you can receive a lot of different prizes, such as a full scholarship in the school, maybe she will join the talent show after all...

Percy Jackson and the lightning thief

When i started reading this book,I start to like it.I thought it was a not interesting book but then i started liking it when i read it.It takes the idea from The Lightning Thief book.
This book is about a boy that is called Percy.He is 12 years old.The book is talking about Percy's last year summer.On the first day of summer,he found out that there was something wrong to him.Bad luck follows him everywhere.He is taken to the camp half - blood in New york.It is a camp for kids like him that can be safe from the monster that like to attack half - blood.At camp,Percy learns out more about himself like his dad is Poseidon the god of the sea and his brothers are Zeus and Hades.When Zeus' master bolt(The thing that creates out lights whenever he wants)is stolen,Poseidon is blamed on the thief.Zeus tells Poseidon that the bolt must be returned to Mount Olympus in summer.Or else he will declare a war on Poseidon.Percy sets out n a quest to retrieve Zeus' master bolt which is believed in Hade's captivity in the Underworld.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

This is written by J.K Rowling. This is the last book in the series. Harry and his friends need to find a way to destroy all the Horcruxes. Hogwarts,The Ministry of Magic and Voldemort's army battle it out. Some will die. Some will survive and clutch the glory. Who will survive?

I like this book because it basically closes the series up and ends it clearly.There are some sad moments in here.

I recommend this book to those who have followed the series because this is it! It is the last book and it is truly amazing! It seals the whole series up!

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

This book is written by J.K Rowling. Harry Potter goes to Hogwarts(a wizarding school). Voldermort has resurfaced again. So Dumbledore has re-activated the Order of the Phoenix. It is a secret protection program to protect Voldemort's victims especially Harry. A new teacher comes to the school her name is Dolores Umbridge she is Fudge's assistance. She refuses to let the children study Defense Against the Dark Arts. Harry becomes furious and he starts a new secret group called "Dumbledore's army" Harry takes them to a secret hideout where he teaches then spells to protect themselves. Voldemort attacks them.

I like this this story because there is not a single paragraph in the book which is boring.

I would recommend this book to people who would like really active books. These types of books are energetic.

NICKED!

"Would it be about a crime?" was the first question when i first saw this book. It is written by David Belbin - an interesting daydreamer who creates amazing stories in his head while he's doing something else.

But my curiousness led me to the first page of this book. And since when i fell for the adventure. That probably shows how good it is.

"NICKED!" is a story about a thief, who stole Smith School's video equipment but always got away. Dectective Inspector Dudden was the person who would catch the thief (and other policemen) It was late, the school was closed. There were 3 kids blocked in a room on that day. But when Inspector Dudden asked, two of them said their names were "Nick Hopper". One of them didn't say anything. Is it just a random thing or someone faked to be someone else? Inspector Dudden did everything to find out the real Nick and the real thief. But it was still unknown. The real Nick is trying to find out who stole the video equipment from his school. But his efforts backfire when the police suspected he was the culprit. How could Nick convince them he was not the criminal?

I couldn't stop reading it until Mr. Pollicutt told me to (to do this thing). Because it's AWESOMEEE. I've read this book before but i didn't finish it. This might be one of the first fiction books i've ever finished. Because IT IS good. You should try it sometimes. It's not too long so it will not get you bored. :)

Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince

This is written by J.K Rowling. A boy named Harry Potter is a wizard and goes to a special wizarding school ( Hogwarts). This is his fifth year in this school so he pretty much knows the place. He was going to Potions class and there was only 2 books left in the cupboard. Ronald Weasley quickly grabbed the " Simple potions making" book so Harry is forced to grab the " Advanced potion making"book. They all started to make their potions. While everyone failed to achieve to make the potion Harry's potion experiment when swiftly. Harry finds the book interesting so he takes it to his room and keeps it. He learns a spell called "Septumsempra". He was going to the bathroom then Draco Malfoy(his enemy) starts to tease him so Harry uses the spell. Draco started to bleed alot. I finds out that Severus Snape wrote that book.

I like this book because it is interesting. The plot is amazing. I seriously can't believe how people can think of things like this.

I recommend this book to people who like to read thick books which takes a long to get the plot. For those people who like cliff hangers this is the book for you.

Sherlock Holmes and the Sport of Kings

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

This book is written by J.K Rowling. It is about this boy named Harry Potter he attends to Hogwarts ( a wizarding school). This is his fourth year at Hogwarts. He decides to join the Triwizards contest. A Triwizards contest is when 3 different wizarding schools choose one student to compete against the other students. Albus Dumbledore(Headmaster) sets up a goblet where people write their name on a piece of paper and put it into the goblet. But the thing is that you can only come near the goblet and put in your name if you are over 17 years old. When the time comes the Goblet of Fire will shoot out 3 people's names and they will participate in the tournament.In the tournament, you have to win 3 very dangerous challenges. To Dumbledore's surprise Harry's name shot out of the goblet. Harry couldn't have put it in because he could not come close tot he goblet this means that someone else did it for him. Dumbledore is furious but lets Harry participate. With the help of Mad-eye Moody, Harry is prepared. Harry soon learns that there is someone is going to try and sabotage him and even kill him.

I think this book is fun to read because it is addicting and you always wished there were infinite books.

I recommend this to people who like action and adventure. By the way, the books get thicker as they go on.

This book is about a boy who finds out he is a wizard and he attends a school named Hogwarts school of witch craft and wizardry. He goes there and meets Ron Weasly and Hermioni Granger. During the cource of the book they become best friends. Later in the story he finds out about a thing called the Sorcerers Stone. Harry soon suspects that one of the teachers Snape is trying to steal the stone so he goes to investigate........I like this story because it is interesting and it shows the ups and downs of an average middle school e.g. Enemys , lovers and the little bit of magic in everyones life. I also like this story because of the adventure and the little bit of mystery.I recomend this book to enyone that love a little adventure.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

This is written by J.K Rowling. This book is about how a boy discovers his godfather. A boy named Harry Potter is a wizard.A need teacher has come to Hogwarts( a wizarding school) to teach Defense Against The Dark Arts class( Remus Lupin). One day he found out that a murderous prisoner from Azkaban (wizard prison) has escaped. The teacher at Hogwarts is awfully scared because the prisoner might come to Hogwarts. The Head of Magic Ministry orders Dementors( monsters which sucks out every bit of happiness in a person and eats your soul) to protect the school.Harry seems to be more effected by the presence of a Dementor. Harry soon realizes that the prisoner is his misunderstood godfather,Sirius Black, he tells Harry that Peter Pettigrew betrayed his dad and gave him to Lord Voldemort.

I love Harry Potter books because they are fiction but when you read it you still think it is true! When I read the Harry Potter series I was 11 years old. From that day I kept on waiting for the letter of acceptance from Hogwarts! ( Yes, that is stupid)

I recommend this book to readers who love a plot with a twist because this exactly what it is.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

This is written by J.K Rowling. It is about a boy named Harry Potter and he is a wizard which attends to Hogwarts ( a wizarding school). He and his best friends , Ronald Weasley and Hermione Granger, discover a hidden chamber in the school. the teachers told them the legend about the Chamber of Secrets. The legend goes like this: When the four founders of Hogwarts , Godric Griffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw and Salazar Slytherin, decided to start a school they allowed pure blood wizards and muggle borns( humans) to learn together. Salazar Slytherin selfishly thought that the school should only be for pure bloods only. The rest disagreed with him. Salazar left the school but before he did he built a hidden chamber in the school. There lies a deadly monster which only the heir of Slytherin can command. But the teachers told the students that the legend wasn't true and that the teachers has searched the school and no such chamber was found. Harry started to hear whispers which only he could hear. He learned that he knew how to speak Parseltongue ( snake language). The monster is loose and students are found petrified int he middle of corridors. Hermione was one of them. Ron and Harry decide to put a stop to this and find the monster in the Chamber of Secrets.

I LOVE this book because it is one of my favorite books in the whole Harry Potter series(actually that isn't true I LOVE all Harry Potter books...) I love how I keep trying to read on.

I recommend this book to people who like thick books and action. This book has a little bit of funny parts it in so you can read it if you have humor.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher stone

This book is written by J.K Rowling. It is about a boy named Harry Potter whose parents have murdered. He has a lightning-shaped scar on his forehead. It was given to him by evil Lord Voldemort. He lives with his evil Auntie and Uncle and their son Dudley. Harry soon finds out that he is a wizard and he isn't the only one. He attends to Hogwarts(a wizarding school). He becomes best friends with Ronald Weasley and Hermione Granger. Harry is excited to meet the teachers but one teacher, Serverus Snape, has been acting very questionable around Harry. Harry wonders if Snape is Voldemort's apprentice. He and his friends soon find out about a stone. They go search for it and go past tons of danger. Using their spells they venture for the Philosopher stone.

I LOVE these types of books because they have adventure and magic in them. The Harry Potter series is my most favorite series ever! I love the plot and the cliff hangers at the end of each paragraph.

I would recommend this book to people who like thick books and have a passion for the genre of magic and adventure. Reading this takes concentration and patience. If you don't concentrate then you will get confused about the plot and exciting parts will mean nothing to you. I PROMISE YOU THAT AFTER READING THIS WHOLE SERIES OF THICK BOOKS YOU WILL FEEL MOST DEFINITELY PROUD OF YOURSELF!

The Call Of The Wild (Jack London)

The call of the wild is an unbelievable fantastic animal book. Who's loyaltyness for its owner. This is a story of a wolf named Buck. He was living in a wealthy and moneyed family but when one day somebody captured him and sent him to a place that is merciless and crueless to dogs. They always hit the dog and gave them little food. The people there was inhuman and heartless. As he gets bought by lots and lots of other people he explores different things and lives in different conditions....When he met a true owner that loved him. It was Thomas. He even risk his life for his owner. One time they were sailling from one side of a lake to the other his owner fell into the lake but he didn't thought about anything and jumped into the lake to help Thomas.After that accident he was tired and couldn't walk. One more time when his owner bet 1 million dollars with another person that"My dog will carry 100 pounds from there to there. Buck did it because he loved his owner and he had to do it. With his brainiac brain he completed it by moving right left right left.. not to move straight and so he helped his owner to gain 100 million dollars.

My opinion is when you already finish reading my comment you immediately should read this book straight away or else you would regret. This book is the best book that I have ever read so try reading it, it is a sad story, you know I cried when I was reading I moved my tears alot!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is a great story. Buck even left his family to go with his owner. Read now straight away don't leave it till tomorrow. Today's job do it today! Don't leave it till tomorrow.Enjoy/happy reading!!!!!!!!

Out of Sight Out of Mind

This book is written by Marily Kaye. It is a fiction book and it is about a girl named Amanda Beeson and another girl named Tracey Devon. Amanda is known as the Queen of Mean in Meadowbrooke Middle school. She has her own little gang who sits at at a lunch table with her and teases people. Amanda thinks that showing some feelings and emotion for someone is bad and is going to ruin her reputation. Tracy is a low-life rat compared to Amanda. Amanda despises Tracy because she keeps on feeling sorry for Tracy.Amanda realizes she is gifted and she isn't the only one. Amanda soon starts to join the gifted class with other students. Some in the school is planning on using the gifted children for their own needs possibly hurting them too.


I think this book is very exciting because it has a lot of action. Every paragraph makes me want to read on to the next one because this book's plot is very mysterious. I like this book because the author really understands how each character will be feeling after every event. By reading the first few paragraphs you can clearly tell the personality of each character and their background. One of my favorite genres is magic. And this book is clearly mostly about magic.

I would recommend this book to those who like magic books like Harry Potter. If you like books which have a cliff hanger then this is the book for you.Reading this book needs patience because the action doesn't just jump in all of a sudden.

Avalon High

The hardest part of moving for Ellie Harrison is leaving her friend from her old school. She
moves to a new house at the outskirt of Washington DC. She moved to her new school Avalon High and made friend with some of the girl in her running team. She also made friend with a guy that she automatically notice as the most gorgeous guy she's ever met. during history class she was pair with Lance: Will's best friend to research about king Arthur. As she research, she heard a rumour that the evil step brother of Athur will return to take over Avalon once and for all and kill Arthur. And the wierdest part is Arthur and his stepbrother Marcus is appearing to be Will and his step brother Marco. Will's girlfriend Jennifer who might be Guinniver in the past, leaving Athur to be with Lancelot, which is Lance. When the news broke of Jen cheating on Will, he start taking notice of Ellie. What will Ellie do? Will she safe Will and will she be his girl friend? You will never know unless you read Avalon high.

The story is of a boy named Hugo Cabret who struggles through life with no existing gaurdian and a haunting history while he lives in the hidden walls of a bustling Paris train station. But when his life confronts with a bitter old man and a girl he realizes they have an interesting connection with his past. With the knowledge he has, he soon devotes his days to figuring out the truth behind a mystery of a dead magician and movie director, that he had recently seen working at a toy booth, that relates to the death of his father.

I love this novel because it shows its magnificent story through many pictures and little words that guide you along the way. Also the different characters somehow blend together with their variety of personalities. And a thrilling mystery hidden behind another.

After reading this, I deeply hope you shall read the amazing book, The Invention of Hugo Cabret!

This story is about greek gods but in a modern way. The story is about a god named hermes and his dad zus is captered by a monster. His mother want him to go and find zus but she dose not wont to tell everywone els. What relly intrests me is thakt the wored thy use are so modern and the gods are not at all how I think thy would be thre personaltys are also modern like hermes is mean an a brat calls his mother frogface.
The plot is so origanal and strong thre is bnever a boring moment. THis book I could read overe and overe and I wood not get bored

The Witches ( Roald Dald)

The Witches is a book that was written by Roald Dald. The book is about a boy called Luke who lived with his grandma after his parent were dead in a car accident. Every night his gandma told him stories about the witches. Luke didn't know if the witches is true or not but he got many experiences about the witches from his grandma stories.

One day, his grandma turned ill. The doctor suggest that his grand needed some fresh air for her energy. So they decided to moved to the beach and stay in a hotel. Luke met a friend called Bruno, Bruno love food. But they didn't know that the witches were having a meeting in this hotel. Luke and Bruno were both got cought by the witches in the meeting and became mice. So Luke and Grandma to let them drink their own potion antd let them become mice. So Luke and Bruno returned to their parents and live a normal life though they are mice.

This book makes me exciting especially the part that the witches apeared in the stories all the events that the boys have to fight back with the witches. The story makde me remember that I have to fight back to my difficulty of life and be brave.

Diary of a Wmpy kid: The Ugly Truth

I like this book because it's addictive and makes you want to read it again and again. It is a good book because the problems he has are fun and interesting. For example the main character is Greg Heffley and he is the sort of character who thinks he will grow up famous and thinks he is the best.

Greg gets in to a lot of problems and becomes involves in those problems which makes it fun because of the way he resolves it. Mainly the fun parts are the bits in his little adventures. The place is set in america he lives in a neighbourhood with friends. Greg's school is down the road it is a middle school. I recommend this book for anyone who likes funny plots.

Tin Tin and The Calculus Affair

This book is about a boy named Tin Tin and his dog Snowy were on an adventure with his friend captain Haddock to solve mysteries and investigate who was guilty for there crimes. There are a whole collection of books but this is one that I read which really grabbs your mind like its hypnotisng you. Captain Haddock and his friends Tin Tin and Snowy were on an expedition to Professor Calculus' house for avisit but then, as they arrived, no one was there. They went in and sat down however everytime they touch something that is glass, it will suddenly shattered. Would they be able to solve the mystery?
This book is reccommended to children who loves investigation and crimes. I would give this book a 8 out of 10.

AIRBORN By Kenneth Oppel

This story is about a cabin boy called Matt Cruse on the luxury airship Aurora and has high hopes of being promoted. One day they find a lost ship with mysteries that needed to be solved.
When Kate De Vries enters the ship she is stoked for her mysterious adventure that is linked with the lost ship. Together they are flung into adventures beyond imagination.
I give this book a 8 out of 10 for every page keeps my hairs on end for its filled with frights deception and mystery. I recommend this book to people who like close calls and adventure and every turn with the constant threat of evil.
